I was reading a book last week called "Good to Great" and it tells you to decide what you are an expert in. What could you be the very best in the world at? So it got me thinking... what am I really good at? Like a lot of people I'm ok at a lot of stuff but I can't think of anything that I could compete at. So here is my 5 best options of things I could be best at:
- Finding justifiable ways to waste time online
- Loading cool software onto Windows Mobile Devices
- Listening to AudioBooks, I'm really good at that.
- Giving talks, presentations, etc with little to no preparation (Wingin It)
- Getting along with Dogs

I too am really good at being sorta good at lots of things. You could say that talent is versatility. Next, I'd say I'm good at articulating. I make a good translator between language and non-language. Maybe that's why I'm good with animals and babies.
I am really good at posting comments on non-serious blog posts.

August 12, 2008 at 12:49 AMand secondly: if i were to go into all the things I'm an expert in... well- let's just say i'd have to devote a WHOLE BLOG to that one (hahahah!!) i'm so funny. nah... seriously, I think I'm good at loving my friends and (I can say this NOW, but I couldn't 6 months ago) I feel like I'm a good mom-- I think it's really important to feel like you're the best person for your baby... i'm finally getting to that point!

From Dad: I read your serious blog all the way through - that good for me. I agreed with your ideas and I even thought of supporting ideas. I didn't take the time to share, no excuse just busy with the start of school. In one sentence - If you are going to serve others from any prospective the word serve might might apply, you have got to have something to give - from inside of you! Now, I would say that there are times when I am very good as communicating. (Other times when I am terrible at it. Too impatient, to selfish, to egoistical) When I am in my best communicating mode, I am a listener and a compassionate and careful communicator. You have strengths and skills too in interpersonal communication. Love, Dad. This deserves more time but I am on the run. (Witting blogs are fun to respond to. We want to show how witty we can be too. It is a pride and self gratification thing.
