Cat Up Pole

Friday, June 13, 2008

I'm not sure if this picture is going to turn out or not but I'm sitting at the base of a power pole waiting for the city power company to come get this cat down. Ami & I were walking with Simon & Holly today and Holly smoked out this cat out of a bush. A short chase ended up with the cat up this pole. Provo City power doesn't actually work on Fridays and so its going to take awhile for someone to get here with the truck. Fetching a cat out of a power pole could be a nerve wrecking activity on Friday the 13th. I honestly just thought this kind of thing happened in cartoons but it turns out cats really are that dumb.

I love cats but I have to agree they are not the smartest. We still end up with some trying to come in our yard and we have 3 huge dogs.

Just to put everyone at ease it did all work out. The city guy started to go up to get the cat and it being very scared, proceeded to run down the pole and take off. Stupid Cats!

It's not just cats that are stupid, but Holly too. She's the dumb dog that chased the cat up the pole and then tried to follow him. Had she been able to climb a pole, she'd probably still be up there crying.

hahahah!! I'm laughing my bottom off about Ami's comment... I can just see spazzy Holly trying to follow the cat up the pole... funny stuff. by the way, i love spazzy Holly and I loved spazzy Mike... but really, what gives on the spazziness of your pets, Ami? I'm no one to talk though... I had two morbidly obese cats- one of which died on my bed. next to me. as i slept.

So, if the cat could get down when adequately motivated (which is how it climbed the pole in the first place), the only stupidity is recognizing one's abilities, and not waiting to be scared to death to tap the talent...trust me to moralize...
